Tucked away in a quiet corner of the central business district, Earthship Studios is a private tattoo and piercing studio, art studio, and maker space. Dora does custom tattoos in a comfortable, appointment only setting on the ground floor. This means the studio is closed to walk in traffic and your tattoo experience is not only more private, but focused completely on you. Our body piercer Jess operates downstairs as well. Her private room is open on Saturdays from noon - 5:30. Appointments are always preferred, but call ins are welcome.

Upstairs is our art studio and maker space. It is the base of operations for STARFIREXEARTHSHIP, a creative collaboration between Earthship Studios and modern calligrapher Marissa, founder of Starfire Lettering Co. Dora and Marissa create original and custom artwork for apparel, home goods, gifts, and much more. Check out their online store on Big Cartel to see what kind of cool things they’re cooking up! When coming to the studio after 4:30 pm or on Saturday there is free street parking on Brook Street. For small appointments before 4:30 the metered parking is $1 an hour. For longer appointments before 4:30 we recommend parking in the municipal parking garage on the right when you first turn on to Brook St.
IMPORTANT! We no longer park in the lot on the corner we had lovingly named “the Sketchy Lot”. Someone purchased the building and we do not know if they will be towing.

Sometimes as early as 11 or 12 but sometimes a little later, but if we don’t have appointments we may not come in, or maybe we will, kinda depends on the day. Usually we’re in by 1:00 if we are tattooing and most often we close around 8:00 but sometimes a lot later, and other days we leave early. Again, it’s a crap shoot. If you want to see if we’re here, just call! If you want to know that we’re here, set up an appointment, even just to chat or check out the space! Basically, we’re like the wind, we come and we go, and even though we’re here more often than not you can never really be sure of when that’s going to be.
